Taken at the Vatican, Rome. This was taken on a humble 4mp Olympus minimju, but a solid piece of kit. Was very tricky to get a good sharp shot with the light we had; I think I propped it against a hard object and used the self-timer to avoid camera shake. But a beautiful building, one which it’s hard to capture its full magnificence with a mere camera.
I was delighted for this to be featured in “Unique Buildings of the World” and “The Other Side of Italy”. In June, it was featured in “The Weekend Photographer”, “Creative, Talented and Unknown” and “Your Country’s best”. In July it was featured in “Visions of italy”, “Religious Art and Photography” and “Old and New Buildings”. I’m enormously flattered folk seem to appreciate this work, though I can’t take all the credit, this wonderful building has been about much longer than I have! I only hoped to capture a memory and impression of it.
