My former band, Universal Remedy, opened at this concert for Supergrass and the Pidgeon Detectives, held in the grounds of Belfast City Hall, New Years Eve 2008… Quite an experience, and I don’t imagine I’ll ever have the priviledge of playing to so many folk ever again…
In the background we have the beautiful Belfast City Hall, building commenced in 1898 and finished in 1906. Every year it is decorated with thousands of Christmas lights, to stunning effect.
Took on my humble Canon ixus 80, not an easy capture, with a brisk 1/8 second exposure; tricky balancing a good sharp shot, with good depth of colour; especially with everything going on!
