Something I had to get off my chest

Posted 4 months ago

My dad is sick. Very sick. Many people turn to religion in times like this but religion doesn’t agree with me so I turn to my friends, to music, to writing and to whatever else I can grasp at.

He had a flu, possible of the Swine variety but we’ll never know for sure, which has since developed into pneumonia. His blood is septic and he is in an induced coma. We have been told if he hadn’t be…

Getting back into it

Posted 9 months ago

I’ve had afternoons off this week and I’ve wasted most of them. Today I decided to practise my photoshop skills though and this is the result. I didn’t think it was good enough to post up in my formal gallery but I spent an hour on it so I wanted to post it somewhere. I used blending layers and layer masks mostly for this.

The shots were taken earlier this year when I went to see The Duke S…

Summer wedding

Posted 10 months ago

Recently I was asked to photograph a friend’s wedding. It was on a 35 degree day after a trio of 40-plus degree days and everyone was worn out from the heat. The ceremony was lovely though, held outside under gum trees in Croydon Hills.

Here are some shots:

A quick thanks

Posted about 1 year ago

Just a short journal to say a very warm thank-you to whoever bought the canvas print of “Ingrained”.

It was a really lovely start to the day and for those who are interested, I hope to be a bit more active on here from now on as uni has finished and I have a bit more time to devote to it.

Thanks again, you made my day!

I've started drawing again

It’s fun and I’m happy about it and my graphic design tutor complimented me on it.

I thought I’d forgotten how to draw.

Yay confidence!

Horse Riding Meet - 28 June 2008

Posted about 1 year ago

I promised to put up some of the photos I took at the horse riding meet last month so here they are. Please forgive the bad quality, they were taken with my phone.

1. My horse Shaker and mum’s horse Dunny (before they gave her a different one).

2. Mum on Dunny

New camera!

Posted about 1 year ago

I was very lucky and spoiled on the weekend when my boyfriend bought me a new Canon DSLR complete with two lenses!

It’s an EOS 400D and it came with a regular kit lens and a telephoto lens. Yay for products being superseded and making equipment just that little bit more affordable!

I’ve been playing with my new toy practically non-stop since I got it, ah how exciting!

Just thought I’...

First ever sale!

Wow, I just got home to find out I’ve sold my first card!

The photo was Ingrained .

This is so exciting! Thanks to whoever bought it, it’s so flattering to think that someone liked it enough to purchase it.

Meet Up - Horse riding through Mt. Disappointment State Forest

Posted about 1 year ago

I’ve been talking up the trail rides in Upper Plenty for several months now and I thought it was about time I finally got around to organising the first (as far as I know) Melbourne RedBubble trail ride meet.

I’ve been going to Uncle Nev’s for years now. The staff are fantastic and they cater for all experience levels whether you’ve never ridden before or you’...

Coffee + time = insanity

Posted about 1 year ago

My boyfriend Jon and I have been off coffee recently, but had a cheeky cup at the cafe this afternoon. My camera just happened to be sitting on the tripod in the living room when we got home, and feeling a bit stir crazy, the following is what happened.

Feel free to ignore the stupidness but the photos are too silly to not be shared.

1. Jon preparing the area. Like his costume?
