Chloe

Chloe

Part of a series I did for a uni assignment a few years ago. There’s been no digital enhancement on this photo aside from the camera I used to take it. I had done a previous series of photos for uni where I took blurred photos of Melbourne lights from a moving car. We were required to take these photos in slide film format, and I projected these slides on a white wall for this shoot. We shot at midnight on a cloudy night, so the light from the projector was the only light source used to shoot the ‘Chloe’ series.

This really works well, Erin. Have you thought about doing more with a similar technique? Would make a fantastic body of work.

Thanks a lot Philip. I have a lot more photos in this particular series on slide film but I haven’t had it converted digitally yet. As for taking more shots with the same technique, I would consider doing it again, definitely. Thanks for the suggestion.

Nice – dark and powerful. Full of movement and you really have a sense that it’s in the small hours of the morning and only the toughest are still boogying away.
