My Ink

“En art comme en amour, L’instinct suffit”
~ In art as in love, Instinct is enough

The lotus flower represents my journey so far through life. In asian cultures they are symbolic of the struggle to eventually find true beauty. They begin their life at the bottom of a muddy pond and fight their way up through the water towards the light to reveal themselves. They are often found in ponds outside temples along with Koi fish, hence the two compliment each other in many tattoo designs.
