This is my signature piece. It was originally painted as a red pyramid with a yellow and blue sky. Over the next seven day as the painting dried the red took on the s shape that you see here. To me it looks like lava reaching the surface of the earth under a morning sky—hence the name Volcanic Sunrise. Many people see different things in this painting, like a picture of the surface of the earth from space. Let your imagination be your guide.
