Another portrait of Johnny Clegg in concert in Cape Town on 20 February 2010.
In France, where he enjoys a massive following, he is fondly called Le Zulu Blanc – the white Zulu – because of the unique blend of Western pop and African Zulu rhythms in his music.
Not really my kind of music, but yes, I did enjoy it: I have several CDs with Zulu / Township Jive music, so I definitely did recognise elements of that in Clegg’s music. Listening to those now, I haven’t played them for a long time. ;)

Now you’ve done it! You had me watching videos… :) That rarely happens.
Great shot, Erika!
Well, that’s quiet a compliment then! :) Hope you enjoyed it!
