Clair de Lune
In a dream
a starlit adventure with no compass
and strange encounters and perils
of every kind-
and unknown world opens up
like a music box in an ancient attic-
a story unfolds
and tells of uncharted lands
and undiscovered maps etched in my being
The piano plays
and I begin to dream-
my wings pull me upward
but my roots plant my feet on the ground
ripped in half
gravity pulls me down
earthbound by reality
whenever the world fails to listen to my tune…
so I join the stars and my dreams
as they call out to me
upon the clear light of the moon
