Silent words
written on
untouched
sheets of paper
bound by wire
protected by
covers
closed by hands
and lie waiting
in the silence
in the dark
unknown
to the world
of its existence.
Silent thoughts
incarnated
in words
begin to take
shape
and rise out
like a genie sprung
from its magic lamp
And I form
an unborn poem
in the womb
of my mind
only to become
silent words
on blank paper….
then
my book is opened
my words fly
my poems run free
and I am
born
all over again.
I wrote this one today. I think this poem speaks for itself. :)

Extraordinary, Erika. You are truly coming into your own. This is exceptional.
You really think so? I try to best choose the words that describe what I’m thinking. And this is the result. It really means a lot to me what you say. Thank you, my friend. :)
