Breathtaking particularly when combined with this translation from the song which gives it a timeless meaning. Beautiful Erika.

  • Thank you Lianne! Yes the words do give it meaning – I love those words, they just make me dream. x

It is the medium that does not translate Erika…not the essense of this piece of art. xx

  • hmm…I see…I think because the pastel is on paper. There are better surfaces for pastel, but I really liked using pastel on paper this time. Here it just looks so simple, and the movement of the colors in the background is just so bland and absent in this picture. But I’m glad the essence shines through, I think that’s the important part :) Thank you Peter. x

Oh Wow Erika! this is so creative and what an amazing talent you have. Your soft spirit always shines in not just the words you write, but your art as well. I love this! I also love Shakira, and that song.
This feels so free almost like the feet have wings :) There is something that represents freedom to me, through bare feet so I am really moved by this :)
Didn’t mean to write a novel LOL, I just truly find it inspirational xoxo

  • Yes! I agree! there is something just incredibly free about bare feet. I love walking around barefoot especially on grass or on sand at the beach. Wish I could really sprout wings and just take off, like Hermes :D I’m not surprised you felt this and could relate to it as well, you’re a free spirit as well…and I love reading your “novels” ;D xoxo

your heart has wings, too, and your mind. this is beautiful. do you know the song ‘run’, by snow patrol? reminds me of this.

  • Tambien tengo alas en mi mente y en mi corazon? No me sorprende que digas eso, mi amigo, tu me conoces bien :) And no, I haven’t heard Run, but I will now. I like Snow Patrol. Thank you for your words and for seeing me through my work again…you know how much it means to me xx
