I think that most people would be hard-pressed to find an artist of any kind who didn’t go through phases and change over time. Whether it’s from experiences, a work of art, or anything that can really change your views and make you look at something in an entirely different way, we are always evolving.

For the first time in my country’s history, an African American man has been elected as the President. Now regardless of anybodies views on race or religion, politics and patriotism, this is something that has effected the world, and is slowly causing IT to evolve.

Since some of the most well known wars in civilization, artists have had the task of stepping up and communicating anti or pro war messages to the masses, and it is by the same token that we should feel a revival or a resurgence of our collective enthusiasm for the arts.

So today, and every day, we should celebrate not just the beauty all around us, but the beauty that lives in all of us and gives us the ability to communicate a powerful feeling or evocative thought to the world.
