Found this old, but in very good shape, Zenith AM/FM Stereo record player just sitting outside a thrift store.

At one time these could be found in every American’s home sitting in thier living room. I remember the one we had growing up. It was from Sears and was all tubes not transisters like today. We would stack 10-15 45’s on it or a stack of 33 LPs and sit and listen for hours. Not like today where I-pods hold 1000+ songs and you could listen for days/weeks.

Records had a warm/sweet sound that CD’s will never match! So long old Zenith, I hope you servered your owner well.

Oh yes, I remember them, Eric… wonderful capture.

  • Thanks Carol, I remember my friend’s parents had a huge Magnavox with giant speakers on each side. We used to crank it up when they weren’t home.
