One of the many beautiful sets of falls cascading down the mountain at Ricketts Glen State Park, PA.

Don’t know the name, so I’ll wait till Aaron or Tim, who has them memorized, tells me and I’ll post it. Okay Tim wins, it’s Mohican Falls.

Wonderfully lush scenery you’ve captured, Eric.
Can’t seem to figure out what falls these are (at the moment – Tim?)

  • Thanks Aaron, Tim got the name for me. I knew one of you two would know.

That is so peaceful Eric, looks very cool and refreshing. The water really seems to bounce down the falls.

  • Thanks Lois, the water level was about perfect that day.

Beautiful! Did you do a HDR effect to this?

  • Nope, just saturation and sharpening!

    Gorgeous shot, Eric! Outstanding POV!

I hate to question Tim’s fine opinion here …but, I think that this may actually be Conestoga Falls.

Question; did you have to climb up a steep hillside, above the trail, to get this angle? If so, I think it might be Conestoga falls pictured here.

I have a few shots that were taken from the very same location. Maybe Tim and I can sort this out between ourselves. The “winner” will get back to you with the final decision …LOL!

It’s a really beautiful capture, either way!

  • Thanks Gene, I mentioned to Tim, it really is no big deal, most folks wouldn’t know the difference anyway, it was just a way to call it something other then Pretty Falls, or RG Falls #16. I just figured he would know since he visits there routinely.

Gene, I sent you some Bubblemail a little after 1 AM. DCNR thinks it’s Mohican. There’s a plaque above the boulder you see in the lower right portion of the frame. Check out this crop…you can see the boulder in this shot, in the upper right hand corner I think you can make out most of the plaque

Also, here’s a video tour of Ricketts Glen which also shows it as Mohican.

  • I guess I started a debate here.
