My rendition of the infamous barber chair at the Eastern State Penitentiary in Philadelphia PA.
One of many I’m sure will be posted on here as it is a very interesting subject to shoot. Rumour has it this chair was used for more then just a shave and trim. No one wants to say what really went on behind these bars.
Built in 1822 the prison became a model for some 300 other prisons around the world with it’s hub and spoke design. The prison was open until 1971.
