The Corridoio Vasariano, built to let the Medici grand-dukes move from one palace to another without being exposed to sun, rain and assasinations.

Taken from Vasari’s loggia of the Uffizi, Florence, through a green-tinted window and processed to look like an 18th century veduta – an Italian city view painting.
The theme of beauty fading away is close to my heart, but many people like this one.

I’ll have to go there soon! Wonderful, wonderful work, Eric!

  • I went there without much expectations, just hoping to do some Street, but I think it went as far as changing my photography – and you know I’ve been at some inspiring places. :) I’d really like to see what happens when it’s exposed to your imagination.

Makes me feel like I’m in the old world! Specifically, like I’m dropped right into Assassin’s Creed II! Very cool!

  • Thanks! That must be quite an impression! :D

Cool shot Eric, it brings back memories! Visited Italy in 1976 that was the year I started my photography with the first SLR I ever bought: Canon Ftb. Life was simple then: You sent away the slide film and get back the trannies ready to view!

  • I’m taking film pictures again now, but I’d miss the fun of Photoshop and instant feedback!

This is a beautiful image and perspective of Florentine architecture and the tints are so enhancing!!!
  • The window through which I took it had green-tinted glass, it must be very old. It set me on this track. :) Thank you!
