I am a photographer just starting out, mostly shooting landscapes up ‘til now. I started doing some outdoor shots using a technique called Light Painting and had some great results, so I decided to try it with models. So far, I have been really pleased with the results, and I hope you like them too.
Light Painting involves almost no studio lights, simply a flashlight in a darkened room. It is not always easy for the model because she has to hold a steady position for up to a minute (including facial expression!) However, my shoots are always a lot of fun, and I am definitely looking for creative input from my models.
As I said, I am just starting out, so I do not yet charge for my sessions. But I would be happy to provide prints and CD’s. I am also willing to do some shots for my models (head shots, full body, costumes, makeup) which are not what I want to shoot, but would help them fill out their portfolio. Light Painting is an interesting technique and could provide some unique shots for you. Imagination is the key!
