This is actually a shot taken on my Dad’s HO scale model train layout this past weekend. I was practicing with my macro lens and took this. The smoke and a few other small details were added in Photoshop.

I actually saw the real version of this engine in operation several times during my childhood in the 1970’s. Here are some additional comments from dad, edited slightly for your clarity.
The one date you (that’s me) remember was May 6th 1972 and the black and white photo that we took and which we have come close to duplicating was taken at 17th street underpass near the PP & L office at Harrisburg, PA.
Some facts about the locomotive are; built 1945-47 in Reading Co. Shops in Reading, PA. There were 30 locos built from older class I-10 consolidations which were only 76 feet long. These T-1’s were 110 feet long with 70 inch diameter drive wheels, boiler pressure of 340 psi and a total tractive effort of 79,100 pounds. The tender holds 26 tons of coal and 19,000 gallons of water.
