Bio..

Erica Marie Leighton was born and raised off the coast of Maine, USA. Noted as a gifted art student during childhood she studied the fine arts throughout her youth with a range of honors. Her fine art paintings, drawings and sculptures were selected to travel the the United States at age seven. By age twelve her works began traveling internationally with her recreation of the painting “Scream” being selected for display in Russia. She won art contests state-wide into her pre-teenage years with a primary focus on painting and drawing.

College years were spent at the Maine College of Art in Portland. Post-college, she began experimenting with photography and photo manipulation. Knowledge of her work grew exponentially through her ‘sheispretty’ portfolio on Deviant Art (current username ‘ericamarieart’), then through galleries, magazine publishings, and books internationally. Erica Marie now freelances as a graphic artist and photographer for publishers of books and magazines, commissioned works of art, graphic design for events and small businesses, and wedding photography.
