A shot of the new contemporary Exhibition centre at Woodhorn Colliery Museum ,Ashinton Northumberland on March 1st 2009
The outer walls are built from gabions of stones and the roof is a moder art sculpture representing the blades of a coal cutting machine
I love art !
I paint draw and am an amatuer photographer.
My passion is realism, but I can relate to some abstract artworks, but I love to see life as it really is.

What are those people doing sitting in the window? Having lunch and a glass of chardy This is a lovely design for a building. That roof is amazing. I can imagine the interior light is wonderful with those skylighty looking areas in the roof.
Thanks Lynda !
I must have forgot to click on reply, when I sent the last one.
anyway, there is a cafe which double as a conference centre and a hall for receptions, so they may well have been having a drop of plonk !!!

The name and the roof are representative of a coal cutting machine, it is very Avant Garde !
