In the nearby bushes and twining up into the small willows, the Climbing Boneset was still blooming. It loves the marshy banks of streams and along the small ponds and lakes. There are three species of these in North America, all grow in Florida, two a specific to only Florida. The flower heads are made up of five-petaled, tubular florets. The vines can grow up to 20 feet. The ‘book’ says they bloom from March to October – the vines in this area are still going strong with finished heads, blooming, and a few that will still bloom over the next few weeks.
