window at the cedars
This photo was taken at the home of famous Australian artist Hans Heysen. It is called ‘The Cedars’ and is located at Hahndorf, South Australia. He painted one of his best known paintings at this very spot – of his wife using the sewing machine at the window. In the moment I was there, I felt the same sense of tranquility that comes through in the painting – and tried to capture it with my camera.
