Shenton’s Mill, commonly referred to as “The old mill” is one of Perth’s oldest landmarks. Built in 1835 it was used to grind flour. It is located in South Perth, Western Australia alongside the Kwinana Freeway.
The mill survived being demolished when the Kwinana Freeway was built, and the Freeway was built around the windmill, and when you look down from Kings Park, you can see the curve in the freeway as it passes mill point.
The gates are locked at night, so I had to walk around to the back of the mill alongside the freeway to get this perspective, but the mill is open to the public during the day.

Very nice mate!
Nice that it survived demolition. it looks a bit out of place against the modern apartment blocks.
Beautiful!
I have never seen it lit, this is great shot
Lovely capture. I have always loved the Old Mill.
