This photo was taken at Point Walter along the Swan River in Perth, Western Australia late at night on the way home.

I was about to head home after taking a few photos, but saw some black swans around the Point Walter Jetty, so I decided I would try out the high ISO capabilities and low light Autofocus on my new EOS 7D. This photo was taken at ISO 3200 and came out pretty clean, the autofocus locked pretty quickly and easily too which is good considering I was trying to focus on a black object against a black background at night!

Canon EOS 7D And 15-85 IS.

It’s come out really well! Like the light reflections in the water as well, which help to give the swan its shape.
