I went out for a Late Spring Storm Chase out to the Wheatbelt Region of Western Australia after watching the weather forecast models over the last week I chose to try out between the Towns of Northam and York East of Perth.
At first things weren’t looking that great, just a few clouds around but late in the afternoon the storms started to develop and it started raining, I outran the storm and found a rural back road with good views overlooking farmland so I pulled over and photographed the storm as it made it’s way towards me again, but it ended up changing direction in the end and went East which allowed me to get more photos without getting wet!
In this photo, I found a dirt rural road with some wheat growing along the side, and the thunderstorm was over the hills and started to head East, you can see the rain shaft just behind the hills on the right and the storm started to clear from the left.
