This series of Mammatus clouds where taken on December 27 2004 just as a really big summer thunderstorm had formed over my house here in Perth, Western Australia.
From what I read, the Mammatus clouds are caused by ice in the clouds becoming heavy and causing the cloud to sag.
A very rare site!

Great shot of these clouds. Have you taken any of the morning glory cloud. I read about it in weather. That magazine my like your photos.

I went out my front door to take a look at the approaching storm and was very surprised to see these clouds! They lasted about 30 mins and then the storm moved in. Got allot of lightning that night from this storm.
I haven’t seen the Morning glory cloud in real life, But have seen photos and read about it.
I though this was a painting, this is unbelievable!!!! soooo beautiful !
