Red-backed Kingfisher Todiramphus pyrrhopygius.

This small kingfisher is found throughout inland Australia where it feeds on lizards, small snakes and invertebrates. They will nest in either a burrow they will construct in the ground, either flat ground or a slope such as creek bank, or within a tree hollow.
