White-winged Fairy Wren by

White-winged Fairy Wren males are very shy and capturing a ‘good’ image is a challenge! Well, this guy in western NSW finally gave me something worth posting. Captured within a Canon EOS500D with a Sigma 150-500 and x1.4 extender handheld.

What an amazing bird (thank you for such a fabulous shot too). I am a keen fairy wren lover and have whole families of them interacting with me (and my camera) daily here in the west. I have never seen one with white wings before…..so I am captivated! (smiles)
