Rosenberg's Goanna Portrait by 


Rosenberg’s Goanna Varanus rosenbergi.

This species of goanna is listed as Vulnerable under the NSW Threatened Species Conservation Act 1995. This is a juvenile of the species characterised by its bright orange colours. We trapped this animal in sandstone heath north-west of Wollongong on the sandstone escarpment.
