Numbat Myrmecobius fasciatus.
Listed as Endangered ICUN.
The Numbat used to be found across the southern part of Australia, including Western Australia, South Australia and parts of New South Wales, Victoria and the Northern Territory. However, it is now restricted to two natural populations: One at Dryandra Woodlands, near Narrogin and the other at Perup Nature Reserve, near Manjimup.
Several re-introduced populations exist, with one of these in Scotia Sanctuary in western NSW.
