Spotted Quail Thrush Cinclosoma punctatum.

A very shy inhabitant of the escarpment (heathlands and woodlands), this was the best photo I could manage after two weeks of trying.

    Great catch! :) Love the cryptic colouration…crouched down, it would be almost imperceptible!

    Wow… gorgeous bird, think I’ve seen some around here, incredibly shy. Can be a thankless pursuit sometimes (bird photography).
