Beaked Gecko Rhynchoedura ornata.
Listed as Critically Endangered in Victoria.
This species can be found in open arid and semi-arid regions, sheltering in spider and insect holes by day and foraging at night. A short walk with a torch often reveals this species in suitable areas. This individual is licking his eye – geckos dont have eyelids so to keep clean their eyes , they lick them periodically.
