The Rose-crowned Fruit-dove Ptilinopus regina is another fruit eating pigeon (around 25cm in length) from the sub-tropical and dry rainforests of eastern Australia. Impacted by habitat destruction, this species like other rainforest inhabitants, has declined in recent decades to the point it is now listed under the NSW Threatened Species Conservation Act 1995.
