“There is a garden in every childhood, an enchanted place where colors are brighter, the air softer, and the morning more fragrant than ever again. " ~Elizabeth Lawrence

“If you carry your childhood with you, you never become older.” ~Tom Stoppard

In our memories of childhood, we most often bring out the brightest ones to polish lovingly… favorite toys or games, golden afternoons spent in enthusiastic play, adventures with best friends, smiles with a magically missing tooth and sticky treats dripping down our sleeves. That’s as it should be, I think. Much better than dwelling on things like chicken pox, hospital trips, embarrassments or losses. I hope I am always young enough at heart to truly enjoy the simple things, and remember the importance of play :o)

“It is never too late to have a happy childhood.” ~Tom Robbins

“Somebody come and play!
Somebody come and play today.
Somebody come and smile the smiles
and sing the songs
it won’t take long.
Somebody come and play today!” ~ Sesame Street theme written by Joe Raposo
