In late afternoon, winter shadows lengthen across the paddock as the clouds follow along the ranges.

About Enivea

I live in the Australian countryside with my cat, dog and horse. Together we explore the land around us and their connection with the world helps me to see what I would otherwise be blind to. They are my teachers.

My aim is to convey this other way of seeing through my photography.

Amazing work, perfect B&W one question however? Why do you call it winter down under when it is summer?? ☺☺

  • Many thanks matey :-) Actually, this was taken in winter, hence the title :-) Back in the days of my first little camera, maybe even before we met!

That cloud front is quite spectacular and puts one in awe at how the forces of nature rule the countryside. Foreground shadows reach for the hills. What will happen when they all meet? Very well captured, composed and presented effectively in B&W. Enivea – a favourite for me! :)george

  • Many thanks George. I took this with my trusty little Sony :-) I used to wander those hills…..and they would frequently bring in amazing cloud formations.

Love how the shadows lead you into this image! Great shot!

  • Thanks Paul. It’s a pity more people don’t like black and white, isn’t it…..
