A very elegant portrait of the horse and rider. The horse is doing something it loves, as is the rider, not because they are compelled to, which is an ideal relationship. The presentation and treatment in this toning of sepia really suits the subject. Top marks for this Enivea! :)george
Many thanks George, I’m hoping the owner will be happy with this.
What a beautiful capture of a happy duo!! She has such soft hands, he is completely elastic and forward-going – and clearly HAPPY!!!
So many people seem to jam their horses up these days… just seen some ghastly stuff on the net about ‘crank’ nosebands – they’re just what they sound like – something you can crank tighter and tighter…the dressage heavies are apparently using them, and the showjumpers are combining them with a hackamore over the top – what is going on???
Sorry about that rave – let me just say again, what a lovely portrait of a super pair!!!
Don’t worry Denzil, I quite understand! This is the second time I’ve attended – on foot – the clinic by Nicole Magoffin, a student of Steffen Peters, and it’s almost enough to get me enthused about dressage again! What is going on you ask re crank? Just a mob of silly people looking for a quick fix, instead of putting the time into training…..and the horses suffer….
Such a lovely shot Enivea! :) I don’t think I told you I bought a new horse? Her name is Grace, I’ve still got her at the trainers on a trial. Hopefully she’ll be home next week, I’ll upload some pics when I get some decent ones of her.
Gabe :)
Thanks Gabe, and congrats on your recent purchase! I look forward to seeing her.

Lovely capture……………..love the tones, stride and especially the ears. He is really listening for the next request.
