Featured in the Woman Photographer

sunset, australia, countryside, silhouette, kangaroos

I live in the Australian countryside with my animals. Together we explore the land around us and their connection with the world helps me to see what I would otherwise be blind to. They are my teachers.

My aim is to convey this other way of seeing through my photography.

Wow, I have taken and seen image of birds in flight but this is in another class, the roo is so far off the ground it seems to be flying. Amazing silhouette image. Excellent work.

  • Thanks Byron, and as you can imagine, I had no time to waste to capture this. Maybe it’s hopping to high to avoid the electric fence! It sailed over it with a good foot -12" – to spare.

  • Honest, this isn’t a set-up in case that’s what you’re thinking. I only tweaked the tones a little otherwise that’s what we saw.:-)))

    FAbulous sillhouettes!

  • Thank you. When the land is looking drab I need to take a different approach it seems…..

How very beautiful! I particularly love the curve of the land and the haphazard trees, they give it great character.

  • Thanks Georgie, sometimes it just falls together nicely:-))
