Singing farewell to Spring by

Featured in Spring Glorious Spring

I live in the Australian countryside with my animals. Together we explore the land around us and their connection with the world helps me to see what I would otherwise be blind to. They are my teachers.

My aim is to convey this other way of seeing through my photography.

Stunning tones E!! Love the birdy on the fence…………but he doesn’t have to sing farewell to Spring until the end of November?
    Gorgeous image !! xx

  • With the heat here at the moment Tracey, spring has sprung away….the grasses are drying off, hay has been carted away and the reptiles are dashing about. I reckon it’s close to summer!

Well yeah, I hadn’t thought of it like that!! It’s been so warm here the past couple of days too…….16c overnight tonight (unheard of !!) and 27 tomorrow, but then it’s saying next Thurs is going to be 3c o/n and then only 16c thru the day!! Go figure, well, it IS Ballarat !! ;)

  • LOL! It’s 20c right now, and very still. Mid 30’s tomorrow and the next..but I don’t think we’re in for the seesaw that you’ll get! Mind you, it’s only a couple of weeks ago that it was 0 or 2-3c in the mornings…climate change? Nah! I’ll just stick my head in the sand like all the others….NOT!

Thank you so much for your lovely welcome. :-) What a beautiful composition! Such gorgeous tones! Love the bird on the fence. We have had yet another cold spell here in NZ again with rain, hail and snow in some regions!!!

  • Thank you May, for your lovely comments. As for your weather, I guess you’re over the drought then?! Sounds a bit cold for me!

Our weather hasn’t been warm enough even to stop using our heat pump and gas fire in the mornings! If we get a good summer the grass gets dry usually mid summer in January. We feel as if we’ve hardly had any spring weather at all this year! We had a lovely early spring and long summer last year though. :-))) Our youngest daughter and fiance and some other friends all moved to Oz to live to enjoy the warmer weather over there! :-)))

  • Each country has its good and not so good aspects….I reckon being a gypsy has a lot going for it:-)) Just go walkabout….

Nicely done… really well done… colours, dof, the bird, composition…. yes.

  • Many thanks Crow. This was just up the road a little today. As you can see, it’s a bit drier than when you were last up.
