Many rivers to cross
Many rivers to cross
There’s so many rivers to cross
But I can’t seem to find my way over
Wandering, I’m lost
As i travel along the white cliffs of dover
Many rivers to cross
And it’s only my will that keeps me alive.
I’ve been hurt, washed up for years
But I merely survive because of my pride
And this loneliness won’t leave me alone,
It’s such a drag to be on your own
My baby left, and she wouldn’t say why,
Now all I do is cry…
I’ve got many rivers to cross
And it’s only my will that keeps me alive
I’ve got so many rivers to cross,
Oh, so many rivers to cross…

oh love it wow water !! well I can’t think of a title but seeing Sally’s legs are longer ! I would say Fred should ride on her back rather than the other way …
Enivea replied
I thought it better not to cross as there could have been more water on the way! It’s a very long way to the next brige!
Trish O'Brien
Oh that is so gorgeous – I love the matching coats :-)
Enivea replied

Enivea replied
ROFLMAO! Thanks Wendy!!

The last scene of a movie? (A happy ending to the animal version of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid perhaps…at least after they find a way to successfully negotiate that water…) Beautiful image Enivea! Wonderful composition and gentle tones.
Enivea replied
Thanks Georgie, true love will find a way!

What an amazing scene, the hill behind is so green and the water overflowing the road is a real bonus not to mention the best 2 pals checking if it’s really water and not a mirage.
Enivea replied
Yes, thanks and it’s been flowing for three days now! Possibly more water still to come down apparently!

Excellent Enivea. It looks like you have got much rain?
Enivea replied
I’ve not had sufficient rain to run the local creeks, but this water comes from heavier rains upstream which feeds into this river. It has come up much higher since, amazing to see!

Love this shot of Sally and Fred crossing the river. Also like the poem. Very nice. Of course the river is what we call a mud puddle in California. LOL LOL LOL Ed
Enivea replied
Laugh all you like Ed!! This little ‘mud puddle’ has risen further and it’s getting closer to being called a river again! Mind you, it’s much older than your little youngsters, so you wouldn’t expect your grandmother to run as fast as a teenager, now would you?? lol !

You’re a funny girl Enivea. Hope you know I was only kidding? Ed
Enivea replied
Of course Ed, absolutely my friend:-)))
Tove
Beautiful and sad words and a very thoughtful picture!

Thank you Tove. Something that we all face at some time or another…
