I’d forgotten my I.D. I’d made it all the way to the train station before doing so then so a quick return was ultimately necessary. As I pelted past the small park on the corner near my block of units I drew everyone’s attention & a few hushed comments. None of them had ever seen a sight quite like this before I’d expect. A very tall thin man head to toe in emo symbolism furiously running up the path. My shoes had started to undo and were sliding off and slapping around producing substantial amounts of noise. It was also affecting my smooth running style making my gate look quite awkward bordering on special. I got inside and grabbed my stuff. I felt reassured that running back past them would be an easy way to put everyone’s mind to rest. To show I wasn’t just some weirdo and wasn’t running from danger or towards trouble. It was just a case of being completely inappropriately dressed for a short unexpected burst of jogging. I arrived back at the station just in time to see the train pull away from the platform. The decision was made that catching a taxi was fine by all. I sweated furiously all the way to the pub.
