My dad in happier days. He loves to fish but he cares for my mom now and it leaves him little time for this joy. Plus they had to sell their beloved Florida home on the water to move to Michigan to be nearer to me.

Taken on a barrier island south of Melbourne Beach, FL.

It is so hard to see our parents grow old. Your dad is a very good example of what true love is all about: putting simple pleasures on hold to be there for those who need us. He must be a remarkable man and very much loved.

  • It’s very hard, indeed, Christine. Very, very hard. We are all just sorting things out still with the move and all…

What a lovely image and beautiful sentimant……..he looks a beautiful and kind soul, any one who loves their fishing so much simply has to be…. just ask my husband!:-))

  • Thank you Lynda! I am surrounded by fishermen in my family. I’ve spent many an hour in a boat – fished a bit myself in my younger years. Now I’m content to sit and enjoy the sights and sounds or read a book whilst on the beach or water.
