for you
two bodies snug
from head to toe

it’s because you know

your chin nuzzles deep into my neck
I feel your heart as though
it beats from my own chest

you breathe out
and I breathe in

we rest in the fluid embrace
of skin against skin

we are as happy as ying can be with yang
as content as two baby clams

when you smile
I feel my whole body respond
and when I giggle
I feel you snuggle

a little inch closer

and closer

to a happiness that needs

nothing else

but the spoon
