He was a wind blown man
plain in your socks kinda man
as cool as a whisper on a hot
summers day
He had that knack of being friendly to
everyone he met
mostly all the girls in town
and He knew it
She was a tossed about woman
the razzle dazzle kind
the smart arse kinda woman
made up of sensations
simmering down slow
or just like a touch barely barely there
She had that molasses like way about her
for all the boys in town
and She knew it
When the town finally burnt down
some say it was around 1959
you can still see them standing today
in the doorway of the old bakery
his friendly
her simmering
his whisper
her dazzle
his knack
her smart arse
He knew it
She knew it

“made up of sensations, simmering down slow”
Beautiful words being strung together once again Enalu..
Wild.
it reminds me of a song I wrote many years back
called He’s too over the Yarra for me….about a boy from stklida in love with a girl who lives in fitzroy….it’s very touching
and a little bit country!
