Look into my eyes!

I want to dedicate this writing to those who have helped me during the last few weeks. It´s a big, big thank you.

You see me and then ask:
„How are you today?“.
You can´t see behind my mask,
as you always look away.

Do you really want to know,
how I am today?
It`s so long ago
you listened, so I could say!

The last time I remember well.
You came up to me to ask.
I felt so bad and said: „Like hell“.
For you it was just a task.

You smiled at me and shook my hand,
said: „I´m so glad for you“.
You didn´t even listen to me and
left me shocked, like a statue.

Why do you even ask me,
if you don´t want to hear?
No need to be friendly,
no need to fear.

My friends who really want to know,
just look into my eyes.
No time for words, but feelings flow.
A look, a hug a little smile – I love you guys!

In times when darkness is around,
my heart is still beating and warm.
Just my feelings are downed.
I need a little help to beat the storm.

These friends are fantastic!!!
No judging, even if they could.
They know I´m just sick,
I´ll recover, like they said I would.

Getting better everyday,
good feelings return.
Because people had their heart on display,
I saw and felt their concern.

To these friends I say thank you,
you are a great support. I „love“ you.
If ever you feel blue,
I hope I notice and help you too.
