Inspiration for this image was based on “The Great Backyard Bird Count”. It is an annual four-day event that engages bird watchers of all ages in counting birds to create a real-time snapshot of where the birds are across the continental United States. GBBC website

There are over 30 different species of bird depicted in this image. Can you find them all? Great Blue Heron, California Quail, Band-tailed Pigeon, Rock Dove, Mourning Dove, Anna’s Hummingbird, Rufous Hummingbird, Acorn Woodpecker, Northern Flicker, Red-naped Sapsucker, Black Phoebe, Loggerhead Shrike, Stellar’s Jay, Western Scrub-jay, Mountain Chickadee, Red-breasted Nuthatch, Oak Titmouse, Bewick’s Wren, American Robin, Northern Mockingbird, Phainopepla, Cedar Waxwing, Black-head Grosbeak, California Towhee, White-crowned Sparrow, Dark-eyed Junco, Hooded Oriole, American Goldfinch, Lesser Goldfinch, House Finch, House Sparrow and, ah-hmmm… Lawn Flamingo :)
