Oh, this is even more beautiful in panoramic view!
What a wonderful image, bright sun fog and gums. Its wonderful
Thanks. It had been more thickly shrouded in fog prior to this fleeting transient moment. The sunlight very quickly dissipated the mist so much that it became a much more ordinary scene once again. Light from a bright blue sky above illuminated the shadows. Ultra violet light recorded by film in the shadows accentuates the blueness. The sun was rising over the ridge to the left. Out of dozens of very early morning jaunts to the Dandenongs this is my favourite image captured there.
It’s been a Parks Vic poster before with several thousand copies sold. Now out of print. It’s also appeared elsewhere in advertising and print media as well as greeting cards.
wow – so much depth – love the light!
Ern, this is an absolute masterpiece.
Love this cropped version!
beautiful capture …
Gorgeous light & depth. A really beautiful image!
Very nice, wish I was there…
I’m considering a 617 camera… Where do you get your images scanned?
I do them myself with an Imacon Flextight film scanner. Thanks.
