The Fly Catcher
This is the Trumpet Pitcher Plant, Sarracenia Hybrid, originally from the Carolinas in the USA, but growing happily on the kitchen window sill in a farm in the Southern Highlands, New South Wales. It has northern light and as a ‘wetlands’ plant, stands in water.

There are a few varieties of the Pitcher Plant and they all have the same basic properties. Very nicely photographed. Peter

Thanks Peter. I find them fascinating, but don’t actually have any. These and others belong to my brother-in-law, so at least I get to see them every year.
