Thanks so much Michael. I didn’t know the sandbar was there, so it was all very special to have the birds congregate there at sunset.

Hooley dooley e., that looks like it was a tricky one to get right. Did a great job. Did the camera do all that or did you have to tweak settings?

The camera has done a great job here, for sure, but in the final analysis it is all down to the photographer and you have absolutely hit the bull’s eye with this one. Top marks ma’am!! Peter

Hi Col! I have to tell you, the sunset was just that! Easy work, since all I did was aim and shoot. No tweaking! Birds came, light changed and I took about 50 shots. It was thrilling. Have never seen a sunset like it. The lake and birds added to the wonder. Thanks for your comment! em

Oh, you’re gorgeous! But thank you. I just took the photo. Everything was there, colour and all. It was an amazing display. Still learning about the camera. Must take some RAW soon and ‘fiddle’.

Bloody hell e., good call on that camera. Methinks it’s a very impressive bit of exposure nutting out done in that shot.

Hi Col – did I tell you it’s a Sony alfa350 with an 18-200mm Tamron lens? I’m still learning to handle it, so pretty well work on auto & jpegs. Will do all the ‘fancy stuff’ soon, I hope! Big learning curve; not really good at technical stuff, much to L’s & Brain’s chagrin! They’re very patient with me.Camera’s my son’s recommendation. em
