Drawing an identity by Emma Downie-Mewes

Desire to draw has hit again. Practise is necessary, it’s been a long time, but the surge of excitement that rears its head when a face begins to emerge from the page, taking on a third dimension and, finally, an identity is impossible to ignore.

So it’s time to draw.

Time to pull out the ever faithful tin of grey-lead pencils, the kneadable eraser that doubles as a stress ball and a sketch book.

And maybe this time I’ll keep it up a little more.
