The model requested this pose and it really works! We think it is unusual as well as beautiful. We put aside the converse tennis shoes for this shot…

Why thank you Jonathan!!!
This is brilliantly done :)There is just something about the angle of the shot that really makes this feel so different.I also really like the fact that ballet is a calm and relaxed and you have taken that into consideration when taking this, I say that because I see the cross in the church window and churches are supposed to be a relaxing place to be.Very nicely done!! :)
Good catch, Andrew! Thanks also for the comment!
The low angle brings the focus and vista low to the position of the feet on tiptoe (ouch), and the converging walls echo the rest of the pose with the raised hands very nicely, giving a lead to more of interest – works very well. My only minor critique is the bent wall to her right. If thise were straightened, and the photo lengthened carefully, it would probably enhance the model by reflecting what is probably her true height, and give a greater “elegance”. I’d either include the whole, or paint out the lamp…..I agree with Andrewberry – the cross is a nice interest point, as is the stained glass behind – it brings the building into context, and the paintwork describes the age – all in all, a lot to see when I start studying the photo. Had this not been yours, I might have passed it by or looked at it less, and I would have missed something very, very good.xxxG
Thank you soo much for your input. (this is Emma) Just saw your comment, and i agree with the wall. I love diffrent angles, and you can always make somthing boring into somthing intresting . All depends on your angles!! thx again!!! :)
