Christ On The Cross

The ultimate price of betrayal
No complaints
Or hints of sadness
Just words of wisdom
Through the shudders of pain

Hands and feet
Nailed fiercely to the cross
Not a sign of compassion
He is
‘Just another criminal’

Surrounded by mourners
Weeping, anguished
Bowing at his feet
Kissing them tenderly
His blood is shed

Some stand back amused
Others ridicule him
Unaware of his true identity

Inflicting more pain
Both physical and emotional
Still, he shows love
“Father, forgive them, for they don’t know what they do”

The Fruit of the Tree of Life was more bitter than the Poison Fruit of Duality. Give us this day, and one more last chance, at a Healthy Diet. God be with you, Cousin.
